I enjoy Obadiah site, Samson Blinded: A Machiavellian Perspective on the Middle East Conflict, for considerable time. A few days ago, they published a message that stunned me. His point was, how many of supporters would even call 1-800 number and say anonymously, "I support you"? Dozens of thousands people read the Samson Blinded constantly and agree with Obadiah, but few are willing to act even in minor things. In the message, they requested a small issue: to aid deliver the message. And here I'm, typing about the weblog,.
Obadiah is a jurist, public figure, politician. He publishes very interesting posts about Israel, United States, and the Middle East, military conflicts and asymmetric warfare, peace and religion. His suggestions are very contentious, but frankly Obadiah's saying bare truth, something that us in the West arely read in media.
Obadiah's blog was announced the best Jewish and Israeli blog in People's Choice Awards and came out highest in four categories, but Google refused to advertise it due to the "unacceptable content." Have a look at http://www.samsonblinded.com/blog |

Who cares about Palestinians?

Palestinians are renown for cowardice even among the notoriously unwarlike Arabs. Palestinian attempt at civil war amounts to saber rattling. Despite the large expenditure of ammunition, casualties remained minor. Hamas – Fatah clashes look like a show.
During the riots and the War of Independence, Palestinians avoided battles and concentrated on robbery. Beyond cheering from rooftops, they did not help the Arabs who fought Israel in several wars. Dispersing them into Jordan and Lebanon is a slam-dunk job: Jordan succumbed to influx of 700,000 Iraqi refugees. Consequences? Jews should have grown used to them during the two millennia.
Not much time is available. Nationalism is engulfing the Arab world, and previously cynical inhabitants could become ideologically charged, willing to wage total wars.
Palestinians are no-nation. They cannot build a state. No country genuinely supports them; Palestinian issue is just another anti-Semitic canard. Why does the Israeli government shower them with concessions?
King Hussein of Jordan drove the fedayeen Palestinians from his state, killing 8,000 of them in a few days. Jordan is a key American ally in the Middle East, respected by international community, and at peace with Israel. Learn from your friends that massively killing and expelling the Palestinians is ok.
It is mind-boggling that Israel welcomes the US, Egypt, and Jordan training, supplying, and financing the PLO-Fatah. They are building an army which would professionally oppose Israeli anti-terrorist operations in Palestinian settlements. The American hypocrisy is startling. The US pushed for democratic elections in Palestine which brought Hamas to power, and now finances Fatah’s coup against the legal Hamas government. Unwilling to stain its hands in Jewish blood directly, America relegates the supply of weapons and ammunition to Egypt and Jordan. Now the Arabs officially at peace with Israel could legally arm Israeli enemy.
Propping the Fatah is senseless. Abbas already has twenty times more troops than Hamas. He loses to Hamas politically, and America cannot help him on that. Fortunately for the Jewish idea, Palestinians do not want a state carved from Israel.

Science fiction cost pennies. The Global Warming science fiction cost hundreds of billions and calls the nations to sacrifice trillions of dollars to combat a no-problem with uncertain causes and solutions.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change gathered all the usual culprits whose models and predictions universally failed. Time and again accused of scientific fraud, these pundits keep resurfacing. Apocalyptic ecologic scenarios call for government intervention, and everyone in power, from leftists to imperial hawks loves ecologists. Ecological scares were common throughout the history. They gained popularity since Malthus. Who cares that he repudiated his earlier conclusions about the overpopulation threat? Ecologists (what kind of education is that?) warned of global cooling, global warming, ozone hole, asbestos threat, extinction of some rare butterfly and the fish you have never seen in supermarkets, anyway. European forests and American buffalos are extinguished - so what? Europeans live far better than their ancestors; Americans, too. Alpine and Alaskan glaciers are intensely melting since nineteenth century, well before the first electric bulb, gas heater, or car appeared. The Ice Age ended only 10,000 years ago, and the Little Ice Age - just a century ago. The temperatures are rising now because they were historically low 150 years ago. Ice caps are melting because they hugely increased since sixteenth century. Ice ages come and go in cycles, apparently related to solar activity. Mechanisms are entirely unclear: for example, periods of low sunspots often surprisingly correlate with volcanic activity on Earth.
Current temperatures are historically low, and their increase is normal. What is the increase, anyway? The ecologists debated it at the conference. That’s right, the conclusions are based on debate; estimates ranged several times. Good for leftists, bad for scholars. Theories are expected to be proven with something more sound than vociferousness. So perhaps global temperatures will increase a few degrees over the century. I love warm weather. People in cold countries would enjoy the change. Africans, they are technologically unable sustain the exploding population whatever the climate. Jews, we developed Gaza and Negev, and would bear a few more degrees. Rising sea levels? Dutch people built dams for centuries. It’s better to be warm than to suffer the energy consumption levels of Neanderthals.
Carbon dioxide increase coincided with industrialization. Cause-and-effect relationship is dubious. In warmer periods, carbon dioxide increases about 50% from the glacial levels. Current concentration is slightly above that norm, but the norm is average. Most likely, in some periods the average increase was greatly exceeded. On the geological time scale, the current carbon dioxide levels are very low. Humans contribute hardly 3% to the natural output of carbon dioxide, at least half of which gets regenerated in plants and dissolved in oceans. To claim that a system so well balanced and adaptive as Earth could be destabilized by 1% change is preposterous.
It is unlikely that the ecological hype would cause significant reduction in oil purchases from Muslim countries, but worth trying.

Pour résumer, le réchauffement climatique, rien à foutre : "I love warm weather", quant aux Africains, c'est une solution à l'explosion démographique (si si, il dit ça), quant aux Juifs, on est pas des pédés, on a vu pire que deux trois degrés de plus, haha (il dit ça aussi). Et puis comme ça on achètera moins de pétrole aux Musulmans (c'est ce qu'il dit, c'est pas mes mots).

Il paraît que pendant la première campagne de George W. Bush un spot publicitaire d'Enron vantait les bienfaits du réchauffement climatique. En gros ça montrait un désert africain se transformer en champ de blé énorme grâce... aux pluies générées par le réchauffement climatique.
